Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks called to talk with Erica during the recent SPIRIT 105.3 Day of Prayer & Hope. He had some incredible encouragement for our community and a prayer to help us move forward during these unprecedented times.
God warned us of times like these in Matthew 24. It’s important for us to know that our faith is critical – God’s going to pull us through and he’s going to deliver us. James 1:2 says to consider it pure joy when we go through trials. Let’s huddle up with our families, communicate more, and love on each other.
— Russell Wilson
Russell prayed for us to have love, compassion, and even joy during this time. He gave thanks for the good and the bad, and asked God for miracles – the restoration of jobs, hope, faith, and for the virus to slow down. And he asked that this trial would cause people to recognize who God is.
Russell and his wife, Ciara, recently donated 1 million meals to Food Lifeline in Seattle to help those affected economically by COVID-19. He hopes that others in Seattle and around the world will join him in giving back and helping during this critical time. Let’s answer the call Russell made to pray for our city often and give generously to help our neighbors through this difficult season.
